Grateful For Bonnie & Father Tom

What a pleasure to have a visit from Father Tom. My friend Bonnie signed therm both up to attend my show, and it was a true pleasure to see Father Tom sitting with her. Tom is an Irish Catholic Priest who has spent most of his adult life in Africa, delivering medical services and bringing comfort to people in remote areas who are otherwise forsaken. In past years I’ve had the pleasure to get to know Father Tom on his occasional visits to the U.S., but its been a while. He and Bonnie became acquainted when she was working in Uganda to help women build sustainable business activities. It led her to establish a non-profit foundation to provide secondary educational opportunities to children who excelled in elementary school, but were without the necessary support to continue. Father Tom was instrumental in assisting her with the logistics of her efforts in Uganda and they have been close friends ever since. For me, one of the highlights of performing my show was to spot Tom clapping away and enjoying himself to the tune of my new, original holiday song. After the show, we had a few wonderful moments to catch up. He left early the next morning to return to Africa and continue his missionary work. Meanwhile, no surprise, over recent years Bonnie has relentlessly pursued the extensive academic work and supervised training required to become a licensed psycho-analyst and build her practice to twenty-plus clients and counting. Blessed to know such beautiful people!
